Happy Little Trees

Enriching our community in the arts is essential for fostering creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange. Our arts program is a vibrant and dynamic hub of creativity, where students are encouraged to explore their passions and talents in various artistic disciplines. From visual arts such as painting and digital design, to performing arts including choir and dance, our program offers a diverse range of opportunities for students to express themselves and develop their artistic skills.

Art education has been linked to improved academic performance, helping students in other subjects by enhancing their focus, discipline, and overall cognitive abilities.

Overall, art programs provide a holistic and enriching educational experience, nurturing creativity and self-expression while contributing significantly to a student’s personal and intellectual growth.

*Visual & Performing Arts: dance, music, theater, visual arts or interdisciplinary arts

Students interested in additional arts disciplines (such as dance or music) may pursue these independently or with community partners. The school provides guidance for approved enrichment opportunities outside the core program.

Students develop foundational skills in drawing and painting through hands-on exploration of line, shape, color, and composition. The course emphasizes creativity, technique, and personal expression while introducing students to art history and visual analysis.

Theatre Arts engages students in acting, script reading, improvisation, and the collaborative process of producing performance—adapted for the virtual classroom. Students build confidence and communication skills through scene work, online performance, and group discussion.
